This is not a function room and has no wish to be one. It is a country house with a wide lawn, a long portico and the freedom to lay things out as you like: long tables in the shade, a drink on the grass, music in the evening.
It works for the occasions that really matter and that you would rather keep informal: a birthday, an 18th, a graduation, a family anniversary.
It works for work occasions too: a team lunch, a company dinner, a get-together away from the office. The reason changes, the place does not.
